Hip Hip Hooray...Weigh In Day... September pic included!

I was in shock this morning when I stepped on the scale! I lost 3.6 pounds this week!!!!! That is 6.8 pounds in the last two weeks! I'm so excited to be in the 240's now! I can't believe it! (I think I might be over using the !!!!!)

On another note, the 21 days is not going as expected. My plan was to take a break from exercising on Sundays. It hasn't worked out that way. I've had 2 breaks already this week. One day/night I completely forgot...ugh! Now to make the 21 days I have to exercise everyday for the rest of the month. I hope I can keep it up. Since going back to work life is so busy. I need BALANCE!

Here is my September updated picture! Can you believe I broke out of the red? Also notice I am wearing a knee length skirt. I haven't wore a skirt that short in years! It felt good.

The tape measure has yet to show up!

I've had a few sobering moments this week. One, I went to take the Praxis again after being home for 8 years and then getting back into the teaching world. I sat in those desks at the U of A 15 + years ago. I slid into the desk and it was a tight fit! How embarrassing...I thought back to how I weighed 100 pounds less when I last sat in the desks. That was depressing. Then I told myself how I was proud of myself because I did fit. I don't think I could have last year with 44 extra pounds!

I'm not ready to quit. I'm not ready to give up! I will keep going this time. I will succeed. I will be fit and healthy! What will YOU choose?

  4. Woo! :] You should totally try the shred! If I can do it, absolutely anybody can. In the beginning I just had to keep my own pace so that I didn't pass out & die (haha), but now after 18 days I can do the whole workout! I am simply amazed with the results & how it has effected my energy level.

I have always heard/read that it's best to take a day off as well. I'm not sure if it's different because it's only for 30 days... or what. I just do as the crazy lady (Jillian) tells me :] haha.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

  8. What an amazing picture. You are doing so great! Keep up the good work. 21 days is an excellent plan btw. I'm doing the same for myself, working on doing strength training every other day no matter what. The first two weeks were total failure (well, I did do it 4 days in 14, but certainly not every other day) and then I started over. Yesterday was day 7 (workout 4) and it is already getting easier. I'm the same with late nights though, just because I run out of time or forget during the day. Having the commitment helps doesn't it. You're doing great Rhonda. What a HUGE LOSS this week :)

Fitting in that desk was def. a victory because it doesn't matter about 'before' , just the now.

Best wishes with your 21 days goal!
